ebm-papst Greater China Secures Dual AMCA Certifications
09/02/2025Against the backdrop of increasing global demands for air system energy efficiency and reliability, ebm-papst Greater China is continuously optimizing its local testing system. The region has not only successfully achieved Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International (AMCA) certification for its large-scale wind tunnel laboratory, but also received AMCA Product Air Performance Certification for its RadiPac (400 V) series centrifugal blowers. These achievements further solidify ebm-papst's technological leadership in energy-efficient blowers.
ebm-papst Greater China's large-scale wind tunnel laboratory, designed in accordance with ISO 5801 standards, has now been successfully certified according to AMCA 111 certification procedures. This certification effectively ensures high accuracy, consistency, and international comparability of test data. With AMCA laboratory certification, the large-scale wind tunnel can test and verify blower performance in a precisely controlled laboratory environment, lending greater credibility to the entire performance verification process.
It's worth noting that AMCA's Product Performance Certification program establishes a unified certification framework for fan products, ensuring ventilation system reliability and compliance with various regulatory requirements while also ensuring global recognition of fan performance standards. Product air performance certification covers key performance indicators such as air flow, static pressure, and the fan Energy Efficiency Index (FEI). The RadiPac (400V) series centrifugal fans achieved this certification with excellent test results, fully demonstrating their outstanding advantages in energy efficiency, high reliability, and adaptability to diverse scenarios.
This means that the RadiPac series centrifugal fans not only offer outstanding performance but also possess the flexibility to cope with complex and variable operating conditions. They are widely applicable in applications with stringent energy efficiency and noise control requirements, such as data center cooling, building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and industrial ventilation. Furthermore, the fans' specialized structural design and intelligent drive technology facilitate system integration and ongoing maintenance, helping customers create efficient, stable, and sustainable air solutions.
From an industry perspective, AMCA certification not only helps equipment manufacturers meet regulatory requirements but also effectively ensures product performance and compliance in critical sectors and high-risk environments. It ensures the reliability and stability of air movement and control equipment through rigorous standards. As a transparent and credible international certification system, AMCA offers significant value to equipment manufacturers, system designers, and end users in the ventilation and heating sectors. Its unified, globally recognized standards enable direct comparison of product performance across manufacturers, providing a reliable basis for market decision-making.
Achieving AMCA certification is not only a testament to ebm-papst's air technology capabilities, but also a reflection of its unwavering commitment to customers. As Dr. Julien Grilliat, ebm-papst's Director of Regulatory Affairs, stated, "AMCA certification is a milestone for us and our customers. It not only demonstrates our unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability, but also further strengthens our customers' trust in ebm-papst." Looking ahead, ebm-papst will continue to advance its local R&D efforts and introduce more high-performance, innovative air technology products for the ventilation and heating sectors.
